Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center had a wrestler qualify for the state tournament at the district tournament in Underwood Saturday.

Sophomore Tegan Slaybaugh was able to qualify for state for second time in his high school career. Slaybaugh was able to defeat Southwest Valley’s Brayden Maeder in a 9-0 decision in the 113 weight division to go back to Des Moines.

AC/GC also had Gavin Sloss finish 3rd place in 120 and Dawson Muller placed  4th in 160.

The Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament will be held at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines starting on February 17th
