Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling competed in their sectional tournament on Saturday when they competed in the class 2A 2 sectional tournament in Winterset. The day was good for the Tigers, as they were able to get two sectional champions in Aiden Flora at 132 and Jake Alexander at 113, while sending five to districts.

Alexander at 113, was able to put together a quality day on the way to the championship, as he was able to win via a fall in his final match. At 132, Flora was able to grab his championship win via a decision at 10-6, both being crowned champions in a good field.

Three Tigers were able to finish second to make it to the next round, with Ben Smith at 145, Nathan Tapken at 195, and Kadin O’Connor at 152 all making to the next round.

The Tigers will be having those five compete in their district tournament next week at Ballard High School, with hopes of sending their wrestlers to the state tournament.
