The Iowa High School Speech Association Large Group Contest will happen today with many Guthrie County students competing for an all state spot.

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School had eight groups receive a Division I-rating at districts and now headed to state to perform in the categories that include two Group Improv, as well as Choral Reading, One Act Play, Radio Broadcasting, Ensemble Acting, Group Mime and Musical Theater.

Panorama High School also received five Division I-ratings at districts for their performance in the categories of Readers Theater, two Ensemble Acting and Musical Theater. 

These groups will compete at West Des Moines Valley High School today for a chance to qualify for the all-state festival.
