With the recent redistricting process, lawmakers are announcing their campaigns and which district they will be in. 

Iowa State Senator for District 10 Jake Chapman says after the most recent redistricting process his plans are to run for Senate District 14 which includes the towns of Adel, Van Meter, Waukee and portions of Clive and West Des Moines in Dallas County. 

“Look, I am a lifelong resident of Dallas County. Dallas County holds a special place in my heart having grown up here and when I saw that there was an opportunity for me to continue to represent Dallas County, obviously it has shifted quite a bit more to the east, but it was an opportunity for me to continue to represent Dallas County. I was excited about that.”

Chapman tells Raccoon Valley Radio he is looking forward to getting out and meeting with voters and continuing to advocate for them at the Iowa Capitol.
