A program through Greene County Public Health recently received its re-credentialing.
The Healthy Opportunities for Parents to Experience Success (HOPES) earned the Iowa Family Support Credential through the Iowa Department of Management and Public Health. HOPES is a voluntary in-home visitation program that provides guidance related to prenatal infant, toddler and children’s development to the age of three.
Part of the credentialing process is adhering to the Iowa Family Support Standards. The HOPES program worked for over one year, with assistance from a program specialist, to meet the 138 standards. A program that meets these standards indicates the program provides high quality services that result in positive outcomes for young children and their families.
The Iowa Family Support Credential is valid for five years. Contact Greene County Public Health at 515-386-3228 to learn more about the HOPES program.
