A local company was recognized with state grants for postsecondary education and training to help Iowans.
Governor Kim Reynolds recently announced 1.4 million in grants will go to 38 Iowa employers and partner organizations for projects that will help Iowans with postsecondary education and training. Midwest Partnership Economic Development in Stuart was awarded just a little over $24,000. These grants will go to companies and organizations located in Greenfield that help individuals get their CDL certifications and create a cohort of trainees from each employer. The school district will also be a partner in educating students about the CDL training and connecting them with employers.
