After a four month hiring process with the Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center Community School Boards they have named a new superintendent.

The two school boards have named Joshua Rasmuessen as the next shared superintendent for both school districts. Rasmuessen is currently the middle school principal at Atlantic Community School District and helped install the Iowa Instructional Framework in Iowa classrooms. Rasmuessen will take over on July 1st for Dennis Mcclain who resigned in October of 2021.

The two school boards worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services to hire their new shared superintendent with resources like community surveys and asking for input from district residents.
