The Iowa Economic Development Authority recently announced several grants through the Empower Rural Iowa program, and the City of Perry was named as one of the recipients. 

The City of Perry received a 2022 Rural Leadership Bootcamp Grant in the amount of $1,000 for the Chamber Ambassador Program. The grant was part of more than $500,000 that was recently awarded throughout the state to rural communities,

The Rural Leadership Bootcamp Grant aims to provide training, mentorship and funding to rural communities and regions that are initiating leadership programs. The grant is a result of the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa Initiative’s 2018 recommendations.
