Ahead of another potential round of measurable snow, it’s important to know your city’s snow ordinances.
For Perry residents, there are to be no vehicles parked on any public street, alley or City-owned off-street parking area when there is at least one-half inch of accumulated snow until the snow has been removed with streets fully open and snow has stopped falling. If you park your vehicle during the snow ordinance, you can face a citation.
For Adel residents, the snow ordinance/snow parking-ban goes into effect at the beginning of the snow event and continues for a period of 24-hours after the snowfall has ceased. If your vehicle is not moved during the snow parking-ban it can be towed at the owner’s expense and could incur a $25 violation penalty.
