Tonight begins Greene County High School Athletic Hall of Fame activities. A public reception begins at 6 o’clock in the high school commons area where the public is encouraged to talk with the Hall of Fame inductees. They are Kris Curnyn Hagedorn, track & field Jefferson-Scranton Class of ’94, Adam Jones, basketball, J-S Class of ’98, Erik Strawn, wrestling Jefferson Class of ’82, Rosemary Holden Hoyt, track & field Scranton HS Class of ’75. Pam Slock Sanders, basketball East Greene Class of ’61 isn’t able to travel due to health concerns.
At 6:45 p.m. Thursday inside the auditorium, Activities Director Todd Gordon will speak, followed by the inductees saying a few words to the crowd.
The Friday girl/boy basketball doubleheader with Roland-Story (Story City) has already been postponed until Thursday, Jan. 27 inside the high school gym in Jefferson. The Hall of Fame inductees were scheduled to receive their Hall of Fame plaques in between games Friday, but they’ll be presented those tonight.
