A local non-profit organization is on a mission to make sure everyone in Guthrie County is warm during the winter.
New Opportunities of Guthrie County Family Development Director Rhonda Huggins encourages residents to dig through their closest to find any jacket they are not wearing. Huggins tells Raccoon Valley Radio there are some requirements they are looking at when accepting donations.
“It needs to be clean. No rips or tears. And of course, in season coats right now. Yes, if you’ve got a coat you’re not wearing and you want to donate it, please bring it down.”
For those interested in donating the donations can be taken to the New Opportunities Office in Guthrie Center.
