The City of Minburn has officially lifted it third boil advisory of the month today after water samples came back clear of contaminants following a water main break earlier this week.
City Clerk Kris Fitch says the town’s fourth water main break of February happened around 6pm on Monday night by Highway 169.
She states that the water department had to shut-off service to the entire City while they made repairs and had water service restored within two hours that same night.
Following that, Fitch adds that the City placed its third boil advisory for the month into effect while samples were again brought to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to make sure that while the water was turned off, no bacterial contaminants got into the water.
Once again, the samples came back clean and the boil advisory has been officially lifted.
