The Greene County Recorder’s office is reminding residents about some past and upcoming deadlines for certain vehicles.
County Recorder Deb McDonald says current boating registrations will expire on April 30th. Boat owners must bring their current registrations to be renewed at any county recorder’s office. If someone purchased a boat through a private seller and are registering it in their name, they should bring the signed registration form, along with the title. Boating registrations are valid for three years. Non-residents who use a boat in Iowa can go to the county that the boat is primarily used in.
Additionally, those who have off-highway vehicles or snowmobiles, they should have been registered by December 31st. If not, there is a $5 penalty when renewing those registrations at the Greene County Recorder’s office.
