The WCV boys basketball team is off for holiday break. So let’s take a look back on the season so far.

The Wildcats started the season off with a win in a close defensive game against Southeast Warren, 39-31. Then WCV started to struggle this season. They lost four straight games to Glidden-Ralston 37-39,  Ogden, 42-62, Des Moines Christian, 28-63, and Panorama, 40-64. The Wildcats didn’t let those losses stop them from have a great game against Paton-Churdan. They snapped their four game skid, 54-51.

Unfortunately they couldn’t build on that momentum. They would go on to lose three straight to Earlham, Madrid, and ACGC to end 2021. Giving them a 2-7 record heading into 2022.

WCV will restart the season, Tuesday Jan. 4th. It’ll be a road game against Interstate 35 with tipoff at 7:30pm.
