The New Years holiday is coming up later this week and that means some businesses and offices will be closed in Jefferson.

The Greene County ISU Extension office in Jefferson will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday. The Greene County Courthouse and Jefferson City Hall are closed New Years Eve, while the Greene County Community Center closes at 5pm on Friday and remains closed until noon on Sunday. The Jefferson Public Library and Jefferson Post Office are only closed on Saturday.

Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.
