The water boil advisory for the City of Dexter has been lifted.
According to City officials, water samples were sent in to a water-testing company in Ankeny on Tuesday and Wednesday, and at 10am this morning the water was deemed safe and free of any potential bacterial contaminants from a water main break that occurred last Saturday.
The cause of the water main break north of Dexter still has not been determined though it was likely a weather-related break.
City officials say it is now safe to consume water without having to boil it anymore.
