With the pandemic still around, Guthrie County Health Services encourages people to celebrate with their families while being safe.

Health Services Director Jotham Arber says family and social interactions are important for everyone’s mental health during this time of the year. Arber reminds people just to be mindful of some safety precautions.

Remember how blessed you are to have family, but then also remember those folks around you, right, do what you can to make sure that you’re not making them sick by staying at home when you’re sick and making sure that you know you’re taking care of your loved ones by following some good health advice.”

Arber also reminds people to wash their hands properly with soap and having a safe holiday is a step to getting back to normal.
