The National Weather Service has confirmed two different tornadoes went through Greene County Wednesday night.

According to the preliminary damage survey report, the first tornado was classified as an EF-2 tornado and it started southwest of Bayard in Guthrie County at 5:17pm and traveled northeast into Greene County, where it went northwest of Jefferson and crossed Highway 30 before ending at 5:31pm. The peak wind speed was 120 miles per hour and traveled 24 miles.

The second EF-2 tornado started southwest of Bagley at 5:21pm. The tornado moved northeast and traveled 17.4 miles through Bagley and stopped short of Jefferson south around Highway 4 at 5:34pm. The top wind speed was also 120 miles per hour.

Both tornadoes resulted in no injuries or deaths. The tornado warning was issued for Greene County at 5:15pm and expired at 6pm Wednesday night.
