The Adel Public Library has several new things happening next month in the children’s department.
During spring break from March 17th through 21st, any kindergarten through fifth grade student can join them for a Scales and Tales Science Camp.
Community Outreach Librarian Trever Jayne says kids will learn about various reptiles and amphibians and how they are alike and different from 2-4pm each day. Then on the last day, Des Moines’ Blank Park Zoo will visit the library.
Other new activities for youth includes a Lego League where kids can build creative things with legos on Monday, March 3rd at 4pm. An early out movie is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11th at 2pm for a screening of “Monster’s University” with free popcorn provided. And on Tuesday, March 18th at 10:30am will be a themed event with the Dallas County Conservation.
