Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls basketball took the court for their first doubleheader of the season on Tuesday night, and they were able to do some great stuff, with both teams defeating Adel-Desoto-Minburn the boys 67-35 and the girls 53-19. The boys start the season 1-0 and the girls move to 2-1.

The boys were able to get some big time production from sophomore big man Calix Cahill, who was able to put up 16 points on the night. Cole Glasgow was able to chip in with 12. DCG was able to shoot 50% from the field and hit 8 team threes on the night.

The girls were able to make ADM turn the ball over with their press and convert off of it for the majority of the night. Emma Miner was able to put up 16 points on the night as she played very well in all facets of the game.

The next game for the Mustangs will be played on Friday against Oskaloosa.
