ADM Tigers boys basketball had their opener last night against Dallas Center – Grimes, and after scoring 16 points in the first quarter, they were only able to put up 19 in the final three quarters as they lost 67-35. DCG moves to 1-0 and ADM to 0-1.
ADM was competitive out of the gate as they only trailed 20-16 after the first quarter, but were outscored 20-5 in the second quarter and the Mustangs never looked back.
A bright spot for ADM was sophomore Adam Bryte, who was able to hit five three pointers on the night in route to 15 points total. 21 of the 35 points for ADM came from the three point line.
The game was the debut for Trevor Michelson, whose team was playing a lot of new starters and rotation players.
ADM will have their next game on Friday when they open up Raccoon River Conference play against Ballard in Adel.
