The Greene County High School basketball teams open the 2021-22 seasons next Monday at Ogden. The boys’ have several seniors with varsity experience including Caden Telleen, who was a spot-starter a season ago when the Rams went 5-15.

Telleen talks about individual improvement and what he sees as strengths for the team. “From last year I’ve improvement a lot. I could see my role as an outside shooter, play good defense, and move the ball a lot. I think our team could have a lot of good shooting this season, and defense is something that we’re going to have to pride ourselves on and I think we can do that well. If we flow together and pass the ball well I think we’ll be okay.”

Chris Nelson is the head coach of the Greene County boys. Injuries have already been an issue with Max Riley dealing with a broken fibula after being a starter at guard last season.  Riley is hoping to play in January. Reserve Patrick Daugherty has a torn labrum and is expected to miss the entire season.
