Dallas Center – Grimes Mustang wrestling is continuing to gear up for the season as they continue their first week of practice, and so far numbers have been very good for the program across the board.

The Mustangs have a solid senior class with six different wrestlers on the roster according to trackwrestling.com. The rest of the roster includes 14 juniors, 14 sophomores, and a nice good size freshmen class of 22. That adds up to 56 wrestlers on the roster, a solid number for the team.

They will be looking towards those six seniors to lead the program in Luke Stover, Kieran Shawhan, Riley Kovaleski, Connor Pertzsch, Cuin Cullen, and Ty Nash. Five of those guys were able to pick up at least 20 wins in their seasons last year, and will be hoping for even more this year.

DCG will continue on with their practices this week, with their first event of the season happening in the month of December.
