A state representative says that Iowans and small businesses are feeling the effects of supply chain issues.
State Representative Ray Sorenson claims that the supply chain problem largely is the fault of the federal government due to supplies being held up offshore. He says whether the problems stem from how it’s managed or the pandemic it is something that the U.S. Director of Transportation has to figure out. Sorenson relates the issues to his own small business called “The Freedom Rock,” which could feel the effects.
“I’m assuming that I will feel it at some point because I have to import the paint that I use at my small business so I will probably feeling the crunch. I know I’ve been feeling it like all the rest of us in increase prices so I guess we’re just going to have to kind of wait and see how the federal government chooses to handle the situation.”
He says that not just Iowa but every state in the country will likely feel the effects of the slowed down supply chain issues.
