While ADM boys basketball is continuing to prepare for the upcoming basketball season, they have been giving back to the local community through charity work.

The team along with ADM student council members were able to package hundreds of meals for Meals of the Heartland in West Des Moines last Tuesday according to an ADM press release.

The press release also mentioned that the men’s basketball team was also in attendance as part of their service commitment to participate in the Pride Scrimmage hosted by Waukee High School.  To participate in the scrimmage, each team has to pick a service project they feel passionate about and basketball chose fighting to end hunger by packaging at Meals from the Heartland.

With over 50 students involved, it was a great team effort from the Adel-Desoto-Minburn community in their effort to end world hunger.
