The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The meeting started with an update from County Attorney Thomas Laehn. He clarified statements he made last week about the federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for employers that have at least 100 employees. He said he didn’t advise the Supervisors to defy the federal mandate and he didn’t advocate to not get the vaccine. He told the Board that the 5th circuit court of appeals decision for a stay, which delays the enactment of the mandate, was for the entire country, not just the 5th circuit states.

The Board then approved a resolution to transfer $66,276 from the tax increment financing (TIF) special revenue to the general fund for costs associated with amending the county’s TIF urban renewal plan and an interest payment that was made from the debt service. The Board then approved a resolution for the amendment to the Articles of Agreement for the formation of the Workforce Development Chief Elected Official Consortium as presented and they conducted the second tier canvass of votes from November 2nd’s city/school election. It is for those that voted in Boone County, but were in the Greene County School District for school board elections.
