Practices for the Panorama Panthers girls basketball team can officially begin today and the Panthers will be looking to replicate their season from last year.
The Panthers girls can officially get out onto the court for practices beginning this week as they will prepare to get their game plans in place as well as brush up on their skills ahead of the start of the regular season at the end of this month.
The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team is coming off of a season where they finished their season with an overall record of 19-5 with a 13-2 conference record. The Panthers also made it to the Class 3A Region 1 Championship where they took on the Cherokee Washington Braves falling by a score of 74-46 to finish out last season.
The Panthers will have one of their key contributors back this season in Payton Beckman who recently committed to play college basketball with the Northwestern Red Raiders after her season ends this year. Beckman averaged 20.3 points a game for the Panthers last year and will look to improve those numbers further this year.
The Panthers last season averaged 58 points per game and opponents managed 35 points game against the tough Panthers team. The Panthers will look to improve on their season from last year and continue their strong girls basketball program as the team over the last five years has a combined record of 106-15.
