With there being a high likelihood we’ll be experiencing more cold temperatures and winter conditions over the next month, the Lake Panorama Association has released information regarding wood cutting rules at the lake.
Permission is required to remove dead or fallen timber from LPA owned lots and common properties. Once permission is granted, those interested in harvesting firewood assume all risk and should be aware of the hazards of tree cutting and removal. General Manager John Rutledge adds that permission is needed so that the LPA’s Security Department can be notified.
The LPA also says that the cutting of live trees is prohibited without written permission and would only be allowed in special circumstances.
Any lake residents interested in harvesting firewood removed from LPA lots can call their office at 641-755-2301.
