Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers cross country was able to get an outstanding finish to their season for 2021 on Friday, with junior runner Geneva Timmerman finishing 2nd in the race and the boys team able to finish 13th as a team.

Timmerman was able to grab 2nd after finish 7th in 2020 and 20th in 2019, as she has shown great improvement since reaching the varsity level. Fueled by facing great competition, Timmerman was able to work through tough course conditions to find some great success, as she continues to put up some great numbers on what is continuing to be a fantastic high school career.

The boys team got a great effort from senior Cooper Greenslade who finished 12th, and Quinton Kimrey who got 33rd, as the two seniors were able to lead the team on and off the course this year for great success.

Both teams will be losing good talent for 2022, but Timmerman will headline a more experienced girls team as they look to get back to state as a team, while the boys will have a nucleus of young talent to look forward to as they look to get back to state for the third straight year next year.
