One organization in Greene County is underway with its annual clothing drive.

RSVP 55+ Volunteer Program is seeking donations for its Lots of Socks & More Drive. Items that can be donated include socks and underwear for less fortunate children in Greene County. Those same items will also be given to Greene County and Paton-Churdan School Districts to give to kids as needed. Last year, Lots of Socks & More collected over 1,700 items and were distributed by Greene County New Opportunities. Additionally, diapers and pull-ups were accepted and given to the Greene County and Paton-Churdan Early Learning Centers, respectively. 

Donation boxes are in every library in the county, along with several businesses and churches in Jefferson, Grand Junction, Scranton, Paton, Rippey and Churdan. The Lots of Socks & More Drive will go through November 14th. Monetary donations can be sent to P.O. Box 104 in Jefferson and checks made payable to RSVP Volunteer Program Lots of Socks.
