A camp designed for youth to teach them more about basketball will soon be starting in Perry.

The Perry Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a youth basketball camp for children in kindergarten through second grade from November 8th to December 13th. The cost is $25 for a member and $30 for a non-member and the deadline to register is November 5th. 

The program is for boys and girls and will teach participants the fundamentals of basketball and working on passing, shooting and dribbling as well as offense and defense. Practices will be on Monday’s with kindergarten being 5:45-6:30 p.m. and 1st and 2nd grade 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the McCreary Center Gym.
