More good news as unemployment rates continue to drop in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Greene County saw a 0.7-percent decrease from August to September to 2.4-percent. Guthrie County dropped from 3.4-percent unemployment in August to three-percent in September. Dallas County also had a decrease in unemployment from August to September of 0.6-percent to two-percent. 

The statewide unemployment rate fell from 4.1-percent in August to 2.9-percent in September and the national unemployment rate went down from 5.2-percent in August to 4.8-percent last month.
