Cindi Daubendiek
With six candidates running for three available seats on the Greene County School Board, we are continuation of coverage of introducing another individual.
Cindi Daubendiek grew up in Minnesota and attended Luther College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and met her eventual husband and Jefferson native Jamie Daubendiek. After college, Cindi and Jamie moved to Denver, Colorado where she worked as a nurse while Jamie was earning a master’s degree. The two moved to Jefferson in 2009, where Cindi continued working as a nurse at Greene County Medical Center until the birth of their third child, which she then became a stay-at-home mom. They have four school-aged children. She has also served on the Greene County Early Learning Center Board and the Dora Mahanay Memorial Trust Board of Trustees.
Cindi wants to continue to support the teachers and staff, and make the district magnet for other communities. She also wants to assess classroom management with disruptive students and also continually improve areas of learning. Cindi talks about why she is running for school board.
“I’m running to be a civic leader and to support what already is in place today. Today’s children are our future and I really want to support their growth and development. I believe that my past life experiences, educational and invested interest in the Greene County future makes me an excellent candidate to represent our county.”
Cindi is running against Bonnie Silbaugh, Sean Sebourn, Nick Lehman, Michelle Fields and incumbent Catherine Wilson.
