Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls cross country teams has seen some great success in recent years, and will be looking to build upon an impressive resume for both the boys and girls teams recently in Fort Dodge tomorrow.

In 2020, both the boys and girls were the number one and two teams in the state, the boys winning their second consecutive state championship and the girls putting together a solid runner up finish. In 2019, the boys were the champion once again, winning by 1 point to grab the state title in a thrilling race. The girls were able to grab another second place performance as they continued to churn out top 3 performances. In 2018, DCG girls were once again in the 2nd place chair while the boys were able to grab a 7th place spot that year.

Tradition is steep for both of these teams as they have constantly set and cleared a high bar for this program every single year. Tomorrow at 2:30 pm for the girls and the boys at 3:15, the girls will be looking for a state championship after three straight runner up appearances and the boys will be looking to 3-peat as a team.
