Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls cross country is getting ready to race at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge on Friday, with both teams able to qualify for the race, and hoping to bring home some hardware by the end of the day.

All of these rankings are based off of October 19th, with the boys team once again being ranked 1st in 3A, and the girls team 4th in the last poll. Both teams are coming off of district championships as a team in Winterset, and will be hoping to flex their muscle in the final meet of the season.

The DCG boys team has six ranked runners in the state of Iowa, as they able to able to dominate nearly every meet this year. Senior Aiden Ramsey is the number 1 ranked runner, sophomore Tate McDermott 13th, sophomore Ben Every 19th, senior Jacob Ewers 21st, sophomore AJ Angus 23rd, and sophomore Jack Every is 25th. The girls team has one ranked runner in 3A with freshmen Maddy Stevens 30th.

The race will be happening at 2:30 for the girls and 3:15 for the boys, as the 3A race will be expected to be one of the most competitive in the state.
