Several communities in Greene County are having their respective Beggars Nights this week that children and families can enjoy trick-or-treating.

This Thursday, the City of Churdan’s citywide Beggars Night is from 5-7pm, along with a Truck-or-Treat event taking place at the Paton-Churdan school building parking lot. Libby Towers with the Paton-Churdan School District says during the Trunk-or-Treat event, children and families will find decorated trunks and treats will be given out. She adds that about ten or more vehicles will be participating. 

Then on Saturday will be the rest of the communities. From 5-6:30pm there will be a Trunk-or-Treat on Main Street in Grand Junction. Anyone is welcomed to park a vehicle on Main Street and give out candy. From 5-7pm will be Jefferson’s citywide Beggars Night, from 5:30-7pm will be Paton and Scranton will have its Beggars Night from 5-7:30pm. Finally, Rippey will have a Trunk-or-Treat Around the Square on Halloween from 6-8pm.
