As people are adapting to COVID-19 the Guthrie County Veterans Affair’s Office are seeing more claims and a faster process for veterans benefits claims.

Guthrie County Veteran Affair’s Office Administrator Amy Davis says that when the Veteran Affair’s workers were sent home due to the pandemic it slowed down the claims process. Davis now states that the process is now picking up.

“Now we’re really seeing claims going through and being worked on a lot  more quickly now as the world has adapted to working at home and people are used to working at home and things are just getting processed business as usual.”

Davis adds while they are not adding more staff at the Guthrie County Veterans Affair’s Office but at the Veterans Benefits Administration they are adding 2,000 more claims processors.
