With the last two weekends that the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower is open to the public before it closes for the year, organizers are pushing to hit a certain visitor goal.
The Bell Tower Community Foundation is needing 98 more people to visit the tower to hit its attendance goal of 6,000 for the year. The foundation is urging everyone to visit the bell tower, which is also a vintage point for seeing the fall colors and roof top art on the downtown buildings in Jefferson. A reminder that kids 18 and younger are admitted for free, due to the sponsorship of the Jefferson Rotary Club and adult admissions are $3.
The bell tower is open Saturdays and Sundays in October from 10am-4pm.
