The Minburn American Legion is  hosting its annual fish fry today to raise money to support veterans. 

The annual fish fry will be taking place today from 5-7 p.m. at the Washington Township School. Vice Commander Don Richardson says the money raised from the event goes to support veterans in a variety of ways including promoting the Dallas County Freedom Rock.

“We have donated both funds and also clothing items and other needed items, toiletries that type of thing, to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown to support the veterans that are living there on a full time basis.”

Richardson invites everyone to the fish fry and people can either dine-in, carry-out or delivery will be available to vehicles in the parking lot. The meal will consist of fish, fries, coleslaw, desert and a drink and is a free will offering meal.
