While the official day for Halloween isn’t quite here yet, there is a fun spooky seasonal event happening tomorrow in Adel.

The Minburn 4-H Club will be hosting a Trunk or Treat at the Dallas County Fairgrounds from 4-6 p.m. tomorrow. Dallas County Extension Youth Coordinator Allie Wisgerhof says the Trunk or Treat is a fun event where 4-H clubs can create their own trunks.

“They’re actually doing a theme for the best trunk this weekend and there’s also a few community members and businesses that will be present as well. They invite the public to come out, they get to visit the 4-H clubs trunks, learn about 4-H and it gives kids a time for them to come out and trick or treat in a safe place.”

Wisgerhof tells Raccoon Valley Radio while those who participate will see some cool decorated trunks, there will also be plenty of other fun activities for people to take part in including games, a hay rack ride, among other things.

“Adults will see friendly faces that they know and kids will get to meet other kids. They’ll get to learn about our awesome 4-H program and of course get candy. Why else would you come to a trunk or treat?”

The Trunk or Treat with the Minburn 4-H Club will take place tomorrow from 4-6 p.m.
