A Dana man was arrested after illegally discharging a firearm on Saturday.
Greene County Sheriff Steve Haupert says at 5:43pm on Saturday, February 15th, after a verbal altercation occurred at 206 Lawrence Street South in Dana between 32 year-old Nathan Allen Zollars and his girlfriend, 21 year-old Kristen Langfit, Zollars is accused of going outside and shooting his 9-millimeter handgun in the air three times.
Sheriff Haupert states that after two deputies arrived at the scene where Zollars claims his was showing Langfit how to shoot a handgun, he was arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for domestic abuse assault and a simple misdemeanor for reckless use of a firearm.
Haupert notes that Zollars was booked into the Greene County Jail and was released yesterday on his own recognizance. The 32 year-old man from Dana is still awaiting his trial date.
