The Greene County School Board met Wednesday night in regular session.

The meeting started with a public hearing about using a flexibility fund to transfer $75,000 from the Homeschool Assistance Fund to the Excess Preschool and Title I programs. There would be $7,000 left in the Homeschool Assistance Fund, which will also receive $40,000 from this school year. The flexibility fund was authorized by the Iowa Legislature. Following the public hearing, the Board approved the proposal.

The Board then approved eight early graduation requests and five fundraising requests as presented. They also approved a $2,000 change order for the middle school renovation project as presented and moved next month’s regular meeting to November 15th at 5:15pm. The Board tabled its decision on changing graduation requirements, pending further board discussion.

Finally, the meeting ended in a closed session for the superintendent evaluation.
