Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers cross country will be running in their state qualifying meet today at Lakeview Country Club in Winterset, as they will prepare to make it to the 3A state race next week.

Fifteen different schools will be running on both the boys and the girls side, with the top three teams advancing to state along with the top 15 runners as well out of the district.

The boys team was ranked number 9 in the latest iowarunjumpthrow.com poll, as the Tigers are hoping to put up some good numbers against great competition. ADM also was able to have some individual qualifiers that are ranked as well, with Geneva Timmerman representing the girls and Cooper Greenslade representing the boys.

Tiger runners will be looking for their top times of the season today, they will have to get out of the gate very quickly, and make sure that they have enough for the final stretch on a course that usually provides a good challenge for runners.

The event is happening at 4:30 today, with conditions to be clear though wind could play a factor. ADM will be hoping to advance some runners later today.
