The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union changed the site of tonight’s Class 3A Region 3 volleyball semifinal involving Greene County and number seven Unity Christian. The 7 p.m. contest is now set to be played in Sioux Rapids at Sioux Central High School instead of the original site in Orange City. The change shortens the trip for the Rams to 99 miles instead of the 152 miles from Jefferson to Orange City. It also means the Knights have a bus trip of their own instead of playing on their home court.

The Rams are 16-12 after winning in Jefferson vs. OABCIG (Ida Grove) in four sets on Monday, while UC is 26-4 following their three set sweep of Pocahontas Area in the quarterfinals. Tonight’s winner advances to the Region 3 final on Oct. 26 at a site to be determined. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows and Iowa Falls-Alden play in the other Region 3 semifinal.
