Hotel-Pattee-Medium-Rectangle-10-14-13Visitors who travel to the area on two wheels are the top target for the Hotel Pattee’s new owners.

Jay Hartz says he’s anxious for the weather to warm up and traffic to increase along the Raccoon River Valley Trail.

“If you look at my marketing plan, we’ve got five niches that we’re going after if you will, in terms of target audience and the cyclists are our number one audience” says Hartz.

He says they’re even preparing to add some additional services to cater to cyclists.

“Some of the things we’re doing, we’re adding a bistro out in front of the hotel.  So we have six tables that just got delivered with four chairs each.  So we’ll have 24 chairs out on the sidewalk and we’ll be piping some music out there.  We’ll also be selling light grab-and-go type items for cyclists” adds Hartz.
