For one local daycare in Perry a charitable donation was recently received that helped extend services for kids.
Dallas County Supervisor and local farmer, Brad Golightly recently made a $2,500 Bayer Fund America’s Farmers Grow Communities donation to Acorns and Oaks Intergenerational Christian Daycare in Perry.
The donation was used to create a secure and safe grassy play area at the Perry Lutheran Homes’ King’s Garden Campus on Willis Avenue. Since 2010 the America’s Farmers Programs have awarded more than $59 million to nonprofits, aspiring agriculture students and public schools.
The Acorns and Oaks Daycare, in a partnership with Perry Lutheran Homes, provides babies and children the chance for a unique, nurturing and useful learning environment while the residents get to interact and teach, and provide love for the children.
