A local fundraiser with St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Perry will feature plenty of fun events for the community today. 

The Light up the Knight 5K Fundraiser will take place today from 5-8 p.m. in Wiese Park. There will be a variety of activities including an inflatable and food and glow items will be available for purchase. Organizer Jody Lutterman says the community is invited to come out to the event, which is different than years previous. 

“This year we are actually opening it up with the addition of the 5K that we are adding onto it and inviting the whole community. So, we are really excited this year to be able to just kind of feature what it’s like to be a member of the St. Pat’s family and just celebrate as part of the community.”

Lutterman tells Raccoon Valley she encourages community members to come out and help celebrate during the event. The 5K walk/run is free to participate in and no registration is required. The 5K walk/run will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will also be on location during the event providing music and other announcements.
