The Greene County Historical Society is hosting another free program later this week.

Historical Society member and leading researcher Mikki Schwarzkopf will lead a program on the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote and the women’s suffrage movement. She will also share insight into how local activists fought in the movement and won the battle in Greene County.

The program will take place Friday at 12:45pm at the Rippey United Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public, and masks are optional. Click the link below to see Schwarzkopf’s previous story about the 100th anniversary, marking the time when women were allowed to vote.
