The Panorama Panthers Volleyball Team participated in the Southwest Valley Tournament Saturday against multiple teams and dropped six matches.

The Panthers headed to Corning to take part in the Southwest Valley Tournament Saturday and lost their first match against the Southwest Valley Timberwolves 21-12 in the first set and 21-10 in the second set. The Panthers averaged 4.5 assists per set, 5.5 kills per set with a .029 kill efficiency but did manage 3.5 blocks per set.

In their second match the Panthers took on a tough AHSTW Vikings team who is currently 18-6 on the season and lost the first set 21-10 and the second set 21-14 but increased their numbers at 6 assists per set, 7.5 kills per set with a .290 kill efficiency and 3.5 blocks per set.

In their third match the Panthers faced the Lenox Tigers losing the first set 21-14 and fell just short in the second set 21-19. The Panthers once again improved some of their stats averaging 6.5 assists per set, 7.5 kills per set with a .243 kill efficiency and improved on their blocks averaging 6.5 blocks per set.

The Panthers also dropped matches against the CAM Cougars with the first set 21-13 and the second set 21-10, Clarke Indians in the first set 21-16 and second set 21-15 and finally the Panthers fell to the Exira-EHK Spartans in the first set 22-20 and the second set 21-18 in what was a competitive match.

After dropping six matches in the Southwest Valley Tournament the Panthers fell to 5-12 on the season and will be looking to get back on track this week when they take on the West Central Valley Wildcats who are currently 3-13 on the season.

The Panorama Panthers Volleyball Team will face the West Central Valley Wildcats tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Panorama High School in Panora.
