It is that time of year again where the tree colors will start to change.
The latest report from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources shows that Guthrie, Greene and Dallas Counties peak season for leaves changing are the first through the third weeks of October.
As soon as October 5th, the trees will start showing signs of splashes of a yellow orange color. The Sumacs are just starting to turn bright red. chokecherries are changing to yellow or shades of red and purple.
Typically the peak fall color occurs progressively later the further south you go in Iowa. To see the full report link it below.
